Made by professor and founder of the Film Department James Steerman and his students, "A Vassar Notebook" comprises a series of vignettes of life at Vassar in 1970. Most are humorous — the Hunchback of Notre Dame acted out on the Library ramparts (recognize Professor Kohl up there?) — while others evoke a sense of the unrest of the period. The film was made using a camera purchased with a gift from the classes of 1945-4 and 1945.
