Life at Vassar - 1943

We're not sure for whom this film was intended — this was long before the day when college videos were used for courting prospective students. It was produced for the Vassar College Bureau of Publication by Jules Bucher and Willard Pictures and covers all aspects of college life, from arrival on campus to academics to campus jobs to commencement. Several legendary Vassar professors make appearances—see if you can spot Hallie Flanagan and Leila Barber. The original film was silent. This version was created by the Office of Communications for Vassar's Sesquicentennial with audio courtesy of the Seeburg 1000.
